Amos watches God prepare to send a locust swarm to eat up all the crops

Amos begs God not to do it, so God relented and it didn't happen

Amos watches God call for a judgment by fire that dried up the great deep and devoured the land

The Lord stood beside a wall with a plumb line and told Amos he was going to set one up in the midst of Israel to judge them

God is going to make the high places desolate and the sanctuaries will be laid waste

God is going to rise up a sword against Jeroboam

Amaziah the priest of Beth El tells king Jeroboam that Amos is conspiring against the king

Amos said that Jeroboam would die by the sword and Israel would be taken captive

Amaziah the priest confronted Amos and told him to leave Israel and flee to Judah and prophesy there

Amaziah the priest warns Amos not to prophesy against the king anymore

Amos said he was not a prophet or a prophet's son, but just a herdsman and a farmer of sycamore trees when God came and spoke to him

Amos tells Amaziah that his wife would be a prositute in the city, his sons and daughters would die by the sword, and the land would be divided, and Amaziah would die in a pagan land and Israel would be taken into captivity
