Amos watches God prepare to send a locust swarm to eat up all the crops |

Amos begs God not to do it, so God relented and it didn't happen |
|
|
|
Amos watches God call for a judgment by fire that dried up the great deep and devoured the land |
|
|
|
The Lord stood beside a wall with a plumb line and told Amos he was going to set one up in the midst of Israel to judge them |
|
|
|
God is going to make the high places desolate and the sanctuaries will be laid waste |
|
|
|
God is going to rise up a sword against Jeroboam |
|
|
|
Amaziah the priest of Beth El tells king Jeroboam that Amos is conspiring against the king |
|
|
|
Amos said that Jeroboam would die by the sword and Israel would be taken captive |
|
|
|
Amaziah the priest confronted Amos and told him to leave Israel and flee to Judah and prophesy there |
|
|
|
Amaziah the priest warns Amos not to prophesy against the king anymore |
|
|
|
Amos said he was not a prophet or a prophet's son, but just a herdsman and a farmer of sycamore trees when God came and spoke to him |
|
|
|
Amos tells Amaziah that his wife would be a prositute in the city, his sons and daughters would die by the sword, and the land would be divided, and Amaziah would die in a pagan land and Israel would be taken into captivity |
